Evelyn Lincoln’s list of suspects

From the Daily Mail

The former secretary of President John F. Kennedy made a list of suspects she believed were behind his assassination immediately after he was gunned down in Texas.

As she flew home on Air Force One Evelyn Lincoln jotted down the names of those she suspected were behind the killing.

They included Richard Nixon and the country’s vice president Lyndon Johnson.

She also named the Klu Klux Klan, the CIA and Communists as she mulled over who could have ordered the assassination.

Her thoughts were scribbled down on a single sheet of paper.

The never-before-seen note is now up for sale and is expected to go for more than £20,000 at an auction next week.

JFK’s assassination in 1963 has long been the subject of conspiracy theories, ranging from those behind the murder to doubts about the lone assassin theory.

But even before those conspiracies were aired Lincoln had her own suspicions.

She was riding in the motorcade with Kennedy when he was shot dead by Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas, Texas.

Lincoln jotted down names of people she suspected could have been behind the killing, starting with Lyndon Johnson.

He took over from JFK after the murder that shocked the world.

Her note also listed ‘the KKK, Dixiecrats, [Teamsters boss Jimmy] Hoffa, [the] John Birch Society, Nixon, [South Vietnam President Ngo Dinh] Diem, Rightist, CIA in Cuban fiasco, Dictators [and] Communists.’

On the back of the list is another note, written more than 20 years later when she passed on her letters to Kennedy collector Robert White.

‘There is no end to the list of suspected conspirators to President Kennedy murder. Many factions had their reasons for wanting the young president dead. That fact alone illustrates how the world suffers from a congenital proclivity to violence,’ it reads.

The 10-month Warren Commission set up to investigate the assassination concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in assassinating the president.

The note, consigned by the Gettysburg Museum of History, will be auctioned by Alexander Autographs in Stamford, Connecticut on Thursday.

Lincoln was Kennedy’s personal secretary from 1953 until his death on November 22, 1963. She died in 1995 at age 85.

LBJ, according to Evelyn Lincoln, was afraid of being dropped from the ticket. That and he was in danger of going to jail for any one of a number of criminal misdeeds is a lot of motive. Read her book.

Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Assets of the CIA, guided by LBJ and Hoover’s FBI, did the murder using sophisticated weapons such as the flechette fired from an umbrella. Most likely the fatal bullet came from the DalTex building. Lee Oswald was the patsy. JFK, knowing he was in dangerous territory, felt safer by insisting that John and Nellie Connally were in the limo with him. Hence Connally’s cry, “Oh my God. They are going to kill us all!”

I knew LBJ and Connally. I knew the oil men. The man who owned the schoolbook depository profitted with LBJ as president, not only in oil, but in defense contracting. ETC

You should not assert that Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy as ‘fact’ — which makes your story less believable and factual. Oswald did not kill Kennedy and the majority of Americans, now obtaining witness and evidence information on the Internet, know it. Remove the prejudice and at least describe the accused assassin as ‘accused assassin’ so that your statements in the future will be trusted. I am a living witness as to Oswald’s true role. Despite efforts to discredit my testimony, we are winning the war for the truth, and for justice for JFK. Those who adhere to outdated pronouncements by the government that framed Oswald as the killer will discover that they lose credibility by doing so. Regards, JVB

Oswald worked at the book factory, there is a picture of Oswald holding the rifle that they know killed JFK, the man that lived next to Oswald seen him put the gun in his car before he left to take him to work where they both were employed,Oswald was so deranged that Russia didn’t want any thing to do with him. believing that Oswald didn’t kill JFK is about far fetched as believing in big foot or the yeti, 50 years have gone by since the death of JFK,we have people who have spend countless hours and money to prove Oswald was a patsy, Oswald killed Tippet as sure as he killed JFK, Oswald was a fool and as evil as Cain, and John W. booth, Oswald in his little mind thought he was the the hero of communist, he thought his name would go down with the rest of Satan,s little helpers, we know more about JFK’s death than Lincoln’s, the Kennedy family believe Oswald was the lone killer, but JFK had and has a special following of people in this country, Elvis had the same thing, JFK had the looks, charm, sense of humor, power and wealth, probably will never be another president like him,American is the greatest country ever to be formed the God that JFK believed in had his hand and blessing and inspired Influence on our Constitution, to believe LBJ,Nixon, kkk and all the others killed JFK is truly a fiction writer’s dream. To many smart people have poured over every detail.

Beyond the fact that Oswald worked at the Book Depository, every assertion you make here is demonstrably false and wrong based on all the best evidence we have unearthed. This may be your opinion but it is clear you have not read any of the hundreds of books and thousands of pages of government records relating to the case. Oswald did not kill Kennedy or Tippit or even fire a gun that day. Instead of writing nonsense on a website, try reading even one book. You could start with Rush to Judgment and work your way up to JFK and the Unspeakable. Even Bigfoot is more plausible than your thesis.

Mrs Lincoln covered just about everyone or organisation in her notes. However, she was on the mark withher suspects. The one thing that amazes me is that she listed Nixon & LBJ right up at the top of the list. It seems Mrs Lincoln – was very close to the mark! I’m Australian however, JFK your President – was teh greatest politician in my life time. I was 4 & a half when he was assassinated. The last politican to give a nation a goal! Placing a man on the moon before the decade is out! He was 50 years in front of his time! How teh World could do with someone like him to-day! What did the American People & the World end up with? LBJ, Nixon & Ford hands down 3 of the worse Presidents in the History of modern America. Anyone that doesn’t believe that JFK’s assassination, wasn’t a conspiracy is a ‘nut’ themselves!

Agreed! Admin with you comment 100% correct. I was in Dallas for the 50th anniversary! A life long goal of mine. Here’s a theory I have considered. If Castro or teh USSR had organised for JFK to be assassinated – they could have got a 2 for the price of 1. The assassins could have shot JFK & LBJ as there vehicles drove up Houston! Likes your comment from Ronalds post!

Ronald – I’d suggest you go & educate yourself about the JFK Assassination! As per admin’s comment. You are in fantasy land if you believe the fairy tale that has been presented to the World for the last 50 years!

As soon as you mentioned Elvis all your credibility vanished. To equate Elvis in any way to JFK is preposterous. Yes too many people Have poured over the known facts and those known facts end up with multiple shooters and a conspiracy at the highest levels.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Don’t know about the umbrella guy, but he sure looked way out of place. I think it was the Dal Tex and the knoll at the very least, possibly more shooters. They weren’t going to miss this opportunity. Triangulation was the key. So what makes sense for the conspirators is to have three teams so there is no possibility JFK would get out alive.

  12. February 7, 2014 at 2:17 pm

Absolutely! Only crack pots and conspirator cover up allies say that stuff. Lone nut conspiracy buffs have no leg to stand on. LHO was never convicted in court for the assassination of JFK, so even legally it is incorrect to say LHO did it as some sort of fact approved by God.
